Amma loves you Ali Farzan

The coca cola glass

How can you forget the coca cola glass. We went to family dollar to buy some crockery. We were looking for glasses. You were busy as usual in exploring stuff of your interest. We chose glasses. You came to know that and reacted-‘which glasses are we buying, there is a design in another shelf’. You led us to the shelf you mentioned. The glasses you showed had coca cola written on them. It the style which is usually offered as a gift with coke bottles and other stuff. I disagreed and told you that it is not a decent design to be presented to the guests. You took a decision-‘I will buy a glass for myself of this design’. What a good way of resolving the conflict.

I know why you wanted that glass. You saw Sabiha mami bringing that glass as a gift from mcDonalds I think. I know you liked things belonging to her. She knew how to present things and how to elaborate stories about them and you agreed to everything she said and was used to be taken away by her stories. You expressed your desire to get the same glass, you also informed me the place from where mami got it. I told you that it was of no use as we were shifting here. You listened but kept the desire in your heart.

How many such desires I suppressed Ali Farzan; your desire to buy tablet, your desire to take bath longer, your desire to eat less. And always you listened to me.You were a wonderful child. I cannot think that anyone can ask for more than what God gifted to me in form of Ali Farzan. God must be compensating for all the suppressed desires and all the favourite things you have left here. He must have arranged glorious glasses for you to drink water.

  4. Isbah Baji those glasses in cupboard were meant to share with Ali Farzan upstairs when he and fizza got exhausted of running upstairs. They were for my son n daughters and I also told Ali so…..and this time when I go home I’m going to bring that glass n engrave my son’s name on one of the glasses n plant rose in it… maybe it might give me a little satisfaction in my heart…. I suare I miss him so badly only if I had some more time to spend with him …but only memories are here with me….. I love you Ali jaan!

    • He admired them so much. Do plant rose in it pls. I take out that glass every thursday. I am not sure till when it will be preserved. He was used to argue whenever he suspected us using it. He thought it was his glass and he was in the habit of a separate glass always. I love you ALi Farzan
